The congress is co-organized by 3 partners:
-The Société Chimique de France, regional section Occitanie-Méditerranée (SCF-OM)
-The Young Chemists network of the Société Chimique de France, regional section Occitanie-Méditerranée (RJ-SCF-OM)
-The chemistry graduate school of the Université de Montpellier : Ecole doctorale Sciences Chimiques Balard (EDSCB)
The reason for this is that the following 3 events are all scheduled in Montpellier in 2019:
-Journées Grand Sud-Ouest (GSO). This congress has been organized yearly for more than 20 years, alternatively in Montpellier, Toulouse, Bordeaux and Pau and is directed toward established assistant/associate/full professors and academic/industrial researchers.
-Journées Méditerranéennes des Jeunes Chercheurs (JMJC). This congress takes place alternatively in Montpellier, Marseille and Nice and is more directed toward Master students and young researchers (PhD, PostDocs).
-Journée de l’Ecole doctorale Sciences Chimiques Balard (JED). Scientific day organized yearly around the current PhD students affiliated with the Ecole doctorale Sciences Chimiques Balard.
In 2019, we have decided to team up by organizing a single event to gather all the South of France community of young, established, academic and industrial chemists. Moreover, since the Université de Montpellier (I-SITE MUSE https://muse.edu.umontpellier.fr/) has a special partnership with Barcelona, and the Universitat de Barcelona in particular, we have decided to twin this congress with Barcelona.
Oral and Poster prizes will be delivered at the end of the congress.
no application required prior to the congress, the selection will take place during the event.
The whole 3-days congress is free.
